Recent Community Service Projects

 

v  Donated canned foods to community food bank

 

v  Made and donated bed jackets and lap blankets to local nursing home

 

v  Provided Basket of Hand-crafted items to Prudential Florida WCI Realty walk for Sunshine Kids Cancer patients.

 

v  Hand-made cards for Service men and women of all branches of Military.

 

v  Partner with Friends of MusicHoliday House

 

v  Made and donated hand-made blankets to Neonatal Unit of Coral Springs Medical Center

 

v  Donated basket of hand-crafted items to Amore Beads’ 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Fund Raising Event.   

 

v  Scholarships to Coral Springs graduating Seniors.  Scholarships to date exceed $55,000.

 

v  Partner with Community Blood Bank

Member Requirements

 

v  Pay dues for current fiscal year  (Fiscal year: June – May)

o    Dues are $45.00 for the fiscal year for individual membership. 

o    After December 1st, dues are $30 for the remaining year to May 31st. 

 

v  Members must attend a minimum of 4 meetings per year.  Those joining after December 1 must attend a minimum of 2 meetings:

 

v  Members must earn two participation credits during the current fiscal year to be eligible to renew their membership.  Members joining after December 1st, only earn one participation credit.  Participation credits are earned for the following:

o    Working on a standing or special committee (see Committee descriptions.)

o    Elected officers and committee chairman or co-chairman.

o    Holiday or Spring Show Department Chairmen.

o    Head Cashier for either show.

o    Chairing a special committee (i.e. Instal­lation Dinner.)

o    Working on an approved special committee project for at least 2 hours.

o    Hosting a club function in your home.

o    Working an extra shift in a show, or working the Spring Show without putting your crafts in for sale (non-mandatory participation.)

o    An invited Guest of a member decides to join the Guild.

o    A maximum of ˝ participation credit may be earned for each month that new items are submitted for display cases.

 

v  All members must participate in the Holiday Show

o   Attended TWO business meetings before the show date.

o   Agrees to donate a certain percentage of show proceeds to Guild determined by the amount sold.

o   Sign a Release of Liability of the Guild for any craft items entered in the show that may be damaged, lost, or stolen. 

o   Must participate in the Holiday Show with the total price of entered craft items collectively amounting to a value of at least $75.00.  This is a requirement to retain membership in the Guild for the remainder of the year and to renew membership.

o   Members must work the required number of shifts established by the show chair.

 

v  Participation in the Spring Show is optional

o    At least ONE business meeting in the current calendar year (after Jan 1) prior to the Spring Show if participating.
